I feel like I'm constantly in search of new mascaras that are both affordable and really good to work with my seriously stubborn lashes. Now I feel like I can narrow it down to my favourite three mascaras out of the ones I used. These are the ones that I will certainly consider buying again and would recommend to others.
First up we have the Scandaleyes Retro Glam by Rimmel London. I've had a few of these but this one was definitely my favourite and it came in a cool retro-looking tin (pictured) which I find very handy for storing smaller make up items in so that they don't get lost. When layered, this mascara can give you a super wide eyed glamorous look. The formula is not too prone to clumping but the shape of the brush can make it a little difficult to get at the little lashes hiding in the corners. I would give this mascara a 9/10 score.
Next is They're Real by Benefit. I mentioned this mascara quite a few times in my posts because I absolutely love it. I don't tend to layer this mascara so instead use a single coat to give my natural lashes a bit more oomph. Benefit is fast becoming one of my favourite beauty brands and there are so many of their products on my wishlist but they do tend to be a bit more on the pricey side so will have to wait a while before exploring more of what their range has to offer. The wand is great to use and the formula is nice and smooth. This mascara definitely gets a 10/10 from me.
Lastly there is Miss Manga by L'OrĂ©al Paris of which I have two different colours. I prefer this one in purple rather than the one I have in blue as the purple stands out more. The wand is very flexible and bends to 90° so that you can get to each and every lash. The formula is also quite smooth and non-clumpy but you do have to layer it to get the full effect. My score for this mascara is 9/10.
I hope you enjoyed my little round up and thanks for reading!
