The parties turned out great and the kids really enjoyed themselves so all my hard work paid off. Here are a few of the snaps from the high tea party. Enjoy!
I didn't hang up too many decorations as I didn't think it necessary, but I did hang up the party lights I made here and think that they looked great. I also received comments from the party guests about them and was very chuffed to say that I'd made the little light shades myself. I bought the fabric flag line from Xenos and was really happy with how the colours mingled well with the party lights. Then all I did was hang up a few balloons and was done.
I baked loads of cupcakes so that the kids could have fun decorating them however they liked. They enjoyed it immensely and made decorations from marzipan by using cookie cutters and stamps. I also had lots of different types of sprinkles so they could be as creative as they wanted to be.
After lunch, we all went outside to feed the local ducks and have a fun time at the playground. The weather was lovely and sunny, although a little chilly but with all the running about, they soon got warm.
All played out, we returned to the house for the traditional birthday song and the birthday girl made her wish and blew out her candles. All the kids enjoyed the yummy chocolate cake before their mums and dads picked them up.
It was a great party!
