Birthday card DIY

This year is all about DIY for me and the girls' birthday cards were no exception so I put on my creative thinking cap and wanted to design some cards that were pretty and a bit different from cards that I've made before.
The first one I made was for my little girl who loves flowers and lots of colours so I made a pretty pink (her fave colour) card with five flowers on it with buttons for the centres of the flowers. I used the shaped hole punches to cut out shapes on the front of the card and then stuck patterned paper behind so that the pattern would show through. I stuck some punched out shapes on the inside of the card to decorate the plain back of the patterned paper.

I used:
Pink coloured card
Patterned paper
Shaped hole punches
Felt paint pens
5 buttons
Pritt stick glue

I wanted to make the card for my big girl different from the first so chose for cream coloured card and a different design but using similar materials. For this one, the design was based around balloons because she loves making balloon animals so I drew balloons and used punched out shapes in different colours to decorate them. Finishing it off with colourful strings and a big number nine and lettering.
Inside the card I did the same as the first by making a pattern out of punched out shapes.

I used:
Cream coloured card
Different coloured paper
Felt tip pens
Fine liner pens
Shaped hole punches
Pritt stick glue
