My new MUA eye palettes

Whilst out shopping for a present for my daughters birthday last week in Den Hague I popped into a rather large Kruidvat and was pleased to find that they stocked make up by MUA. You can't find this brand in many of the shops here so when I come across one that sells it, I can't help but leap at the chance at picking something up.
You can also buy it online but then have to pay shipping costs and to be honest, I don't really want to pay €4 on top of my purchase every time I fancy picking up a couple of things. If I was placing a larger order then I wouldn't mind.
Anyway, I picked up two lovely eye shadow palettes. A metallic shimmery one and the other is a matte neutral palette.

MUA Extreme Metallics
This is certainly my favourite of the two palettes because it's shimmery for starters and it contains some gorgeous colours. There are a few different colour combos which made it difficult to choose as they all have lovely colours but I settled on this one which is called 'Celebrity'.

You can apply these eye shadows wet for the full metallic look or dry for a soft shimmery look. I swatched them dry and they are very pigmented but I think I prefer the fuller metallic look that you get when you use them wet. It just stands out more and also tends to have better staying power compared to using them dry.

Four very pretty colours that I think go perfectly with my green eyes. I will have to play around with this palette a bit more with them to see what different looks I can get out of it.

MUA Matte Palette
Yes I know, another neutrals palette but the bigger palettes that they had were either neutrals or electrics and I don't tend to wear really bright electric colours.

The texture of these eye shadows is much more powdery than the ones from the other palette and the colours are not as pigmented. I can't see myself using the lighter colours at the top very much as they don't tend to show very well on my darker skin but I'm very pleased with the darker colours on the bottom row.

1. Unwrap (white), 2. Butter (cream), 3. Bare (Nude), 4. Taffeta (Peach) , 5. Fade (brown), 6. Penny (bronze), 7. Chino (taupe), 8. Truffle (chocolate), 9. Fog (dove grey) , 10. Smoke (black)

Thanks for reading!
