I have never been a fan of white nail polish but I must say that this one is lovely. It has a mother of pearl effect which sets it apart from the standard white polish as it has a shimmery marble effect to it.
With an already busy schedule, I wanted to do my nails really quickly and as I hadn't tried out this nail polish since I bought it, then I thought I'd give it a go.
This particular polish is from the limited edition "Viennart" range by Catrice which is a brand that I tend to gravitate towards because of the prices. It is definitely budget friendly and I think this nail polish was about €3. It is in the colour C01 - Pearlescent Purpose which like I said earlier has a mother of pearl effect.
For my 5 minute nails I used my trusty companion that is Quick Dry Drops. These ones are from the Hema and you can read my post about them here. Seriously, these drops have made my life so much easier as they help your polish to dry in super quick time.
So there you have it, I applied two coats of polish and used the drops after each coat. I didn't use a base or top coat this time as I just wanted to paint them really quickly and I'll probably only have this on my nails for a day anyway. Of course, if you want it to last longer then it's advisable to use a good base/top coat to help it last.
I did notice afterwards that one of my nails didn't stay shiny like the others and instead had a milky effect, but I think that is possibly a side effect of using the quick dry drops. As it's only on one nail, then perhaps I used a bit too much on that one but the others are fine.
I don't wear nail polish as often as I'd like but with this technique I can imagine wearing it more, as I don't have to spend too much time on it and I can switch it up from day to day. Perhaps I'll finally use some of the many nail polishes that I've accumulated.
Thanks for reading!
