Most used lip products

In the aftermath of the festive season, many of us are tightening our belts and trying to budget as much as possible. I have noticed many bloggers having spend-free months so thought that I would jump on the band wagon and shop my stash and where better to start than with my most used lip products.

Lips are such a delicate part of our bodies and so we want to take extra care of them during these harsh winter months. That is why I am using lip products at the moment which have a creamy, nourishing texture. This ranges from lip butters to moisturising lipsticks.

First up is the NYC intense lip colour which is a twistable lip crayon. I have this in shade 050 Park Slope Peach which is an extremely neutral colour and really good for pairing with a strong eye look. It is very easy to apply and as with all of these lip products; it is the perfect size for slipping into your bag for on-the-go touch ups.

e.l.f. moisturizing lipstick has a beautifully creamy texture that allows it to glide on smoothly and the best part is that it stays put quite well too. I love the colour of this one which is aptly named 'cheeky' as it gives you a bright and shimmery lip colour without looking OTT.

One of the must haves this winter for me has got to be the Rimmel tinted lip balm. With the genius combination of the trusty lip balm and a lovely tint to go with it, then you can't go very wrong with this product. This is in the shade 030 Berry Blush and although the colour doesn't show too much in the beginning, it intensifies as you keep on re-applying it.

Catrice Check & Tweed lip colour definitely puts the stick in lipstick. It is just so handy because it is as thin as a pen and so you can store it discretely in the smallest of handbags or purses. I'm disappointed that I didn't buy more from this limited edition range when it was on sale as it oozes with the classic British style. This matte burgundy lip product is in the shade C02 Mind The Red! and is just lovely.

Last but most certainly not least are the Cien lip butters which I picked up from Lidl of all places. I didn't even know that they sold make up until I came across it on one of my casual strolls around the aisles. First I picked up the shade 01 Dusty Rose which is a very pretty pink however upon testing it out, found that it was a little too pink for me to wear on its own so I tend to use it alongside a lipstick. I really couldn't resist buying shade 03 Sweet Raspberry when I was next in the shop though because I thought that this colour would suit me a bit better and I wasn't disappointed.

I really enjoy using these creamier lip products and I think they are much better suited to the colder months of the year. They may be a bit too much on your lips in the summertime but I guess I'll have to wait until the warmth returns to find out.

Thanks for reading!
