The moment I saw this palette online, I thought it looked lovely with its beautiful colour selection and cute & kooky packaging... how could I resist. I had never tried any make up from Cargo before but had read good reviews so I bought this at the first opportunity that I had which happened to be whilst it was on sale (bonus!).
Packaging
The pale pink checked case is covered in adorable drawings of things commonly found at a tea party. It is a sturdy cardboard case with a magnetic fold-over edge that is compact enough to fit into a handbag and hard enough to protect the eye shadows inside.
Colours
The palette contains 12 creamy colours with a mixture of sparkly and matte shades. All of them are named after tea related things which I think adds that little bit of extra character to the palette. The colours are all cream based pastels that can be used on eyes and cheeks.
Overall
It comes with a double ended brush with a normal eye shadow brush on one end and a precision brush on the other which can be used for applying darker shades as an eye liner.
The creamy texture of the eye shadows make it a little difficult to gather up on the brush but if you swill it around a bit then you can get enough on it to apply a good amount. The only problem with this is that it tends to overflow onto the area of the packaging surrounding the eye shadow which can make the palette look very messy as you can see from the picture above.
Overall it's a nice palette and I will certainly experiment more with the colours to see what looks I can create but I do wish that it was a bit easier to gather up the colours on the brush.
Thanks for reading!
