Urban Decay Smoked Palette

When it comes to smoky eyes, look no further than the Smoked palette from Urban Decay. It is by far the best selection of eye shadows that I have ever used to create a sultry smoky look. The palette consists of 10 colours that are velvety and highly pigmented.
It also comes complete with a full sized 24/7 Perversion Glide-on eye liner pencil, Primer potion and a book that offers a step-by-step tutorial of how to create some awesome looks.

Packaging
The palette is presented in a sleek black zipped case with a sparkly detail to it. The packaging is compact enough to fit into a handbag and has a professionally finished feeling to it.
The look book is matte black in colour and shares the same curvy letter type as the palette's case, which is simply gorgeous. It is indeed a good looking palette to display on your dressing table.

Colours
Like I mentioned earlier, there are 10 luscious colours in this palette to mix and play around with to create fabulous smoky eyes. The colours are called: Kinky, Freestyle, Mushroom, Backdoor, Smokeout, Barlust, Roskstar, Evidence, Loaded and Asphalt. They are highly pigmented with little fall out. A downside is that the colours do tend to crease during a days wear even after using the primer potion that comes with it. The lighter colours are a bit difficult to see on my darker skin and I don't really use these two colours very often. My favourites are Mushroom and Barlust ☺

24/7 Perversion Glide-on Pencil
You receive a full-size version of the eye liner with this palette and to be honest, I tend to use other eye pencils instead of this. I find that this drags across my eyelid a bit and is not as smooth as it could be. Many people rave about this eye liner online so perhaps it's just me who's not a fan. I would have preferred a brush being included instead of this but I'm not going to complain too much, as it's still nice to have and to try out.

The Look Book
This handy booklet walks you through some iconic smoky eyes and gives you a step-by-step breakdown of how to achieve each look. You are guided through 12 looks in total and I have found it extremely useful. My particular favourite is 'Smouldering' as it helps create luscious "come to bed" eyes that are great for a night on the town. Here are a couple of others that I've tried out and loved.

Overall
Considering that the only flaw that I can find with this palette is that the eye shadow creases a bit and the pencil isn't the greatest (in my opinion), I would strongly recommend this product to anyone who has an interest in smoky eyes. I absolutely love this palette! As it is so pigmented, you don't use very much when applying so I think this is going to last me a very long time yet.

You can buy it here for €46,80 with free worldwide shipping on orders over €13.

Thanks for reading!
