My make up collection has grown to a decent size but I don't tend to carry much with me when I go about my daily business unless I'm planning to go out after work or something like that. I used to carry more with me but recently I streamlined it down to only a few things.
- First off I always have to have a pocket mirror with me. I don't check myself out in it too often but I do want to be able to check if my lipstick is still in good condition especially after drinking coffee and 5 cups of water and I've found that having a little mirror is very handy.
- Lip gloss is a must for me so I rotate a few of my favourites through my make up bag. At the moment it's the Beautifying Lip Smoother by Catrice that I reviewed here, but I have a few trusty ones.
- I keep an eye liner in there to touch up throughout the day because even if you've done your eye liner perfect in the morning, it sure wont be that way in the afternoon. A couple of touch ups will keep it looking bold and fresh during the day.
- Lipstick will only be in my bag if I am wearing it that day. If not, then I will just stick with lip gloss.
- Eye shadow compacts are great for slipping into your bag and I love this one from e.l.f. as it's completely customizable so you don't get stuck with the same shades. The only thing it's missing is a brush so I just use my Real Techniques eye shadow brush.
- Lastly I have my cuticle oil from e.l.f. which I don't use every day (but probably should). I keep it in my bag so it's handy if I get a chance in the day to really inspect my cuticles.
