Here we go with my August favourites. It's a little bit late, but better late than never!
I have selected a few of the things that I've been using a lot of this month and have just been loving.
W7 - In The Nude
This is a gorgeous palette and extremely affordable. It is a dupe of the Naked 3 palette from Urban Decay
but for a fraction of the price. I love the mixture of shimmer and matte neutral colours. There is a good amount of pigment and the colours are long lasting.
e.l.f. Moisturizing Lipstick in Cheeky
This lipstick is absolutely lovely. It definitely moisturises the lips and is long lasting. I love this colour which is pigmented and a little bit shimmery. I will definitely be ordering more shades of this lipstick soon.
MUA Matte Foundation - Shade 3 Gentle Fawn
I have been searching for a good affordable foundation that matches my skin colour. So when I came across this one from MUA and found that it matched me perfectly, I was so happy that I had to buy two. The only flaw that I have found is that it doesn't create a matte finish on my skin, as it leaves my face a bit shiny. Besides this, it's great to use and gives a light coverage.
e.l.f. High Definition Lifting Concealer in Light
Again, great value for your money. This concealer costs a few euros and is really good.
If you have a lot of blemishes that you want to cover up, then this concealer is very effective. The only problem is that you will run out pretty quickly if you use it everyday. But like I said, it's so affordable that getting a replacement isn't too much hassle.
Beyoncé Midnight Heat
This is my chosen perfume this month as I had totally forgotten that I have it. I found it still in it's box amongst some things that I was sorting through, and have been wearing it ever since.
I can't really describe the scent, but I would say that it is very feminine and empowering. I like this even more than I liked the the original.
e.l.f. Liquid Eyeliner
The tip is sturdy enough to easily create an even line across your eye and the formula is smooth.
This is long lasting and there's not much more than you can want from a liquid liner. I think that I'll have to take a look to see if they do it in any more colours than black, as this has changed my views towards liquid eyeliners. I used to stay away from them but now I love them!
Fa Shower & Lotion in Pomegranate
This is not a fancy brand but I do love their shower gels. So when I spotted this in the shop and saw that it combines shower gel and body lotion, I just had to try it out.
It smells gorgeous and really does leave my skin silky smooth after stepping out of the shower.
MoriccanOil Curl Defining Cream
I'm sorry but... OMG. This cream is amazing!
My hairdresser used this in my hair the last time I was there and I loved the smell and texture of it so much that I had to have it. It's pricey but totally worth it.
I use it after having a shower. I towel dry my hair and then smoother it with this cream. I use more than my hairdresser advised (about 5-6 pumps) but once it has dried naturally, it defines natural curls beautifully.
I will be on the search for more styling products from this range shortly.
So that was it for my August favourites. Let's see what new and exciting things that September will bring!
