I love this neutral colour from Catrice. The funny thing is that on the bottle, it says that it is called Hip Trip but on the cap it says that it's called Nude & Rude. Either way, it's a nice colour which goes really well with any outfit and has an air of sophistication to it.
File and buff your nails. Filing in one direction helps to prevent splintering and buffing your nails before you paint them makes the nails look even better once painted.
Use a base coat on your nails first. This really does help your nail polish last longer with fewer chips.
Apply a light coat to your nails and once dry, apply a second coat. Try using the 3 stroke technique; a stripe in the middle and then one on each side. The mistake I often make is having too much polish on the brush, so try not to do that as it leads to a sloppy mess.
Once both coats are dry, apply a top coat. Here I am using the Kruidvat Base & Top Coat.
If you are like me and you have to clean up a bit afterwards, then you can use a corrector pen. The one I use is also from Kruidvat and comes with 3 extra corrector tips.
