I haven't been using too many different things this month as I have been trying to build a routine with some staple items. Here are some of my favorites.
- First up is the No.7 Restore & Renew Foundation. It is specifically aimed at mature skin and is meant to nourish and revitalize your skin. I have gone back to this after trying other foundations and it is really nice for everyday use. It provides light to medium coverage but needs extra help from concealer to cover those pesky blemishes. The formula is smooth and glides on easily. I prefer to apply it with my fingers but works just as well with a beauty blender. I have this is the shade 2NN - Cool Beige and I would say that the wear time is about 4-5 hours dependent on your skin type and surrounding conditions.
- I bought this perfume by 'The Master Perfumer' to try it as I was on the lookout for a new fragrance. This eau de toilette is in fragrance no.18 - Cherry Bloom and it has a gentle floral scent without being too sweet and overpowering. I love anything that has a cherry blossom kind of scent and this has been a big winner with me. I am curious to try out other scents from this brand but also a little afraid that this may be my favorite just because it is cherry blossom scented. I have the 15 ml spray and it is seriously inexpensive so it's not a great loss if you don't like it.
- I'm a big fan of lip gloss which I often prefer to the higher maintenance lip stick and have been very please with the MUA Sheer Finish lip gloss. This one is in the shade 'Just In Case' which is a candy pink colour with shimmers. It smells amazing too so you have no problem with having to re-apply it often which unfortunately, you will have to do. The staying power is not very good :( but I still love it anyway. I bought a red shade (can't remember the name) at the same time which I also thought was a super lush colour, but I've lost it. I will definitely repurchase the red shade when I get a chance.
- This next one has been a treasure hiding away in my drawer for quite a while. I hadn't used it in ages but when Urban Decay announced the launch of the Vice 3 palette recently, I thought I'd dig out my Vice 2 palette and really put in some effort to use it. All I can say is wow when it comes to the colours and textures that this palette has to offer. It has a really good mix of shimmer & matte and bright & dark shades. It is easy to create loads of interesting looks for day & night and I just absolutely love it! I'm hoping to get the Vice 3 as a christmas present from my husband, so fingers crossed. But even if I do get the new one, I don't think that my Vice 2 is going away again any time soon.
That's it for my faves this month, feel free to let me know what your favorite products are at the moment
